Wood-Octopus in Oregon

Wood-Octopus in Oregon (USA)

No one knows why this Canadianspruce, which can be found in the northwest United States, has a large number of barrels. Being located in the reserve of Cape Meares National, bizarre Pine is one of the main local attractions. Age such an unusual tree is quite small: a tree-octopus, there are about three hundred years. Rather than grow from the main trunk, the tree split into a number of smaller trunks, which together resemble nothing else like marine life, mentioned in the title of this article.
Wood for many years enjoyed the attention not only tourists, but also scientists. The fact that the latter has not yet been able to cause such a bizarre natural phenomenon and the tree octopus to this day remains a hot topic for debate.
ree hundred years. Rather than grow from the main trunk, the tree split into a number of smaller trunks, which together resemble nothing else like marine life, mentioned in the title of this article.

Some believe that the huge Sitka spruce can find this form under the influence of nature (extreme weather conditions, for example). But there is another version, like the Indians, living in the reserve, deliberately made wooden likeness of a huge cage. They allegedly used a tree to store the canoe, as well as for the corpses during the burial ritual.

Activists from Cape Meares National Reserve are trying in every way to save the park, and today it can be seen near the small fence, and the inscription, which speaks of the importance of this plant. Octopus, of course, in the park there, but we hope that after photos with this amazing tree, a fact you are not too upset.
